.Net Developer, Salon & Spa Division, Gatwick
An exciting opportunity exists for a developer based in our Gatwick office supporting and enhancing our industry leading products.
The role requires a technically competent developer with experience in developing and supporting commercial applications who can demonstrate good development and design skills. Clear attention to detail, methodical approach and focus on the quality of solutions are important aspects of this role. We are proud to be the number 1 in our market in the UK and are looking for someone to with the willingness to take ownership of our applications, any issues that arise and drive them to solution.
The successful candidate will be required to show the following:
Expert Level:
- VB6, VB.NET , Webforms, Web services
- Webservices, WCF and ASMX
- Javascript, JQuery, Ajax
- CSS
Competent in:
- Quality development of Windows and Web applications including security considerations
- MS SQL Server 2005/2008 interaction with .Net applications
- Good understanding of development methodologies
- Good inter-personal skills in dealing with support and sales as well as other developers
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to understand legacy applications by following the code
- Page composition
- Extensive experience working on established brown field products
We're looking for a highly motivated individual who relishes challenge and who can pick up complex development tasks with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will also have a genuine interest in keeping up to date with the latest advances in application design, programming languages and industry best practise.
